Missed payment on someone else's account

Hi all just joined to find out if there's anything that can be done about the following situation,

I woke up this morning with a notification that something has changed on my credit file, logged in to find it's a missed payment to Three phone contract, I've never missed a payment so phoned them up to be confirmed that no payment was missed, now what it turns out isbin 2013 I got a phone contract for my mum and she was down as an account holder, with her email and her details I was just the main account holder, it turns out she has been upgrading ever couple of years and paying it ( separate address and bank account too) obviously didn't know she missed a payment and now it's effecting my file, I've now paid it to settle the account but they said the missed payment can't be removed??

I've worked hard over the past 6 years, clearing 6 ccjs paying off over £13000 of debt, haven't missed a single payment in over 6 years but not it's ruined 🙄

Is there anything I can do to get it removed, I know I was the main account holder but I had no notification a payment was missed otherwise I would of paid it

So was a payment missed or not?  Whether or not there was any notification of this (after the event) is a separate matter....

With a mobile phone contract there is no 'main' account holder and account holder.  It is only in one individuals name.
  • My mum's payment was missed, when the phone was delivered it came in her name however when I have questioned three this morning they said that my mum is the account holder. However I'm the main account holder, I'm just repeating what they said

If your mother is the account holder get 3 to remove your details from the account. That will remove the late payment marker
