Print M&S returns label from ipad or iphone?

My partner wanted to return an M&S item from her iPad but there does not seem to be an option from the app to print the label (we have AirPrint that works fine with other apps.)

The only option in both the iPhone/iPad app is to "download" the returns label but in fact it just shows it on the screen with no option to print or save it to print later. Are we missing something or has M&S made it impossible to print a label without a proper laptop/PC or is this a new Apple update issue?

on iPad open the downoad file and press the share icon and you should get an option to print

That seems to be the problem; the app doesn't actually download the label, clicking "download label" just displays the label within the app and neither short- or long-press bring up any share option so that it can be printed.

Genius! Yes, that (eventually) worked but how ridiculous that you can't print directly from the App and instead have to log in again via a web browser - very poor user experience.
I say "eventually" by the way as initial attempts to access the M&S site via Safari or Chrome resulted in the app automatically being loaded up instead of the sites appearing in the browser. To get it to work I had to manually copy/paste the URL into the browser address bar - not something your average M&S customer would have had a clue how to do...

How do you do that? On my wife's iPhone, pressing "Download return label" doesn't display the return label, it just silently downloads it (presumably) to some secret location. I expect it's buried in the Files app somewhere, but really, you need to go and hunt it down?
She managed to save the QR image and print it at A4 size - very helpful!

BTW, a common occurrence she gets with this app, is having to restart the iPhone before it will print anything at all. Prior to restarting the phone, it implies it has printed the label but the printer itself is unresponsive. No error message. Restart the iphone and printing works fine again. Just in case you get the same symptoms, it's something to try.

Unsure about Apple, but on Android the downloaded print to pdf usually goes to the download folder...

Yes same on iPhone and there's a shortcut on the address bar in Safari to save going to the download folder through files.
