Parking St. Ives Stennack Car Park

We recently (Oct) had a delightful visit to St. Ives.  Parked, in a site operated by Armtrac Security Services - paid, displayed ticket and left before the 3 hours we had paid.  Then we were sent photos of our entrance and exit and charged a fine of £60, we appealed to the company, and sent them a copy of our credit card statement showing the payment made and detailing the correct site.  The appeal has been rejected and fine now £100.  We fail to understand how this can be correct and have now appealed to the 'so called' trade body IAS.  This was torturous to the extreme, you have a choice of on-line or written appeal.
We made 5 attempts on line and where blown off each time for one reason or another.  Waited over 24 hours to received a password reset code - which never came.  Then read the following statement on the form - Warning if your register your Intent to Appeal on line you cannot switch to the postal service.
Comment would be appreciated on the impartiality of this Organisation, and the legality of that last statement -  plus Armtrac SS, and of course any other advice appropriate.

Currently Its an unregulated industry, so no surprises there ( Armtrac are scum. )

Ignore them, ignore the debt collectors letters too

Come back here to this thread if you receive a Letter of Claim or a court claim pack from the CNBC in Northampton using MCOL within the next 6 years

Civil court is where you should win out, if it ever happens

My comment on the idea of IAS' "impartiality":

    ...hahahahahahahaha!

It's owned by Will Hurley Ltd and so is the IPC.  He also registered the IAS Ltd as a company name in 2023. Sounds like a profit vehicle to me.

Previous Annual Reports show just FIVE PER CENT of adjudicated cases are found in favour of the consumer.  Yep. Shows their true colours.

The 'Adjudicators' (I use the term loosely) are anonymous solicitors who we believe are the same people who argue black is white for PPCs are court hearings (likely to be the LPC Law lot, I think).

You cannot win at the IAS, so stop trying.

Ignore it all except a LBC or claim.  Ignore ALL£170 threatograms next year. Tell them if you move house within 6 years.

Keep your evidence. Defending a small claim is twenty times easier than the IAS and with a proper determination by an impartial person.

Please ask your MP to write to the Minister at the MHCLG who seems to be responsible for the new regulatory plans, Alex Norris:

I'd like him to know your experience of an unfair ticket and the useless IAS.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
