Yesterday's exercise class was hard even though a lot of it is seated using weights and resistance bands. I'm always glad when it's done even though I enjoy it too.I'm off for coffee and ablutions, I'll be back once roused.10

Morning everyone and 'thank you' for starting us off Gers
It's still dark here, but not really cold.
Hope you all have a good day. x12 -
Morning folks and thanks GERS. An even more rubbishy night for me. Grr. It's not asking a lot is it to wish for a good night's sleep.
SIL and I had a profitable trip to Boundary Mill yesterday so more stocking fillers got crossed off my list. But my very best bargain was a padded coat for me in the M & S outlet. But shush, don't tell anyone it's a childs! That's one benefit of being a short ar*e!, It feels really cosy, perfect for the Arctic blasts that are supposed to be heading our way.
Today, all being well, I am meeting my DF for lunch. She's had a bit of good news regarding her DH's health problems of late.. The Dr has put him on some new meds for his anxiety and depression and already they are helping his irritability and nastiness towards her, making him easier to live with. He's still yonderly and confused but she can cope with that.
I need to go down town a bit earlier as I have a C & C to collect and I need to go to the PO to post 3 Ozzie cards and buy some 2nd class stamps. Wonder what that lot will cost me!!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad, worried or lonely. Take care all stay safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"12 -
Thanks for the start Gers.
TA - good news about your friend’s DH, will make live better for them both.
I'm just watching a massive low cloud wipe out my view (from bed) - it was lovely and clear a while ago. Off to work though hoping to escape early again like yesterday if my students finish their exam early. A few bits to get from the shops and a moved charity shop to investigate at lunchtime hopefully. That’s the extent of my excitement today!

Morning all
Dry here today and some sun expected later which will be nice, we had such a lovely day yesterday at the Christmas event Robs eyes were like saucers looking at all the different things and his mum put £20 so I was able to get him a decent lunch and a drink I wouldn’t mind so much if it was her paying or treating him but it’s his own money that she has control over.
Three people coming today and they have requested bowling and McDonald’s not my favourite food but they seem to love it.
Got to follow dd this morning to drop her car off at the garage for its mot and will then bring her home.Got a few last bits to pack tonight and then we are leaving home about 5.30 in the morning to get to the airport we are very much looking forward to a few days away, poor OH will be home alone with the pooches.
Have good days all and take care xx10 -
Morning everyone thanks for the start Gers it’s so dark here I expected it to be colder but it’s due brrr TA you might need a mortgage when you get to the PO but at least there is some good news for your friend hopefully things will improve for them both . TAFF thanks for the carols but you really need to slow down moving flag stones you are going to do yourself a mischief I made a lovely soup yesterday I can’t remember where I seen the recipe but you fried bacon added the veg to the pan and fry it slightly add stock and when it’s cooked stir in a handful of cheese I put the bacon bits in a bowl and poured the soup over them it was delicious even hubby commented on how tasty it was. Good morning, I'm later than usual today - after a run of bad nights I actually slept well. Wish I could sleep like that every night.
Thank you all for the good wishes for my Dh, we will see what further tests reveal.
That soup sounds delicious Izzy.
Hope you enjoy your holiday Ruby. It was good that Rob had a nice day with you.
TA, sending cards to Oz is expensive isn't it, not that it stops me from sending them. As for the cost of our stamps, a friend commented to me that we are getting to a situation where the stamps are going to cost more than the (Christmas) cards.
Not a lot going on today here.
Hope everyone has a good day, Coxy I was thinking of you yesterday, hope yo're well.
Thoughts to our poorlies, take care folks.

Morning all, thanks Gers. It was a frosty start today, next door was scraping ice off his windscreen.Enjoy your break RRuby & glad Rob got a decent lunch. There is a battle atm on the bird table,2 collared doves versus 2 wood pigeons.Their scuffling has knocked most of the food off so at least the smaller birds can clean up and benefitDH isn't up properly yet but I can hear movement in the bathroom, and I need to get ready for my food delivery shortly, Mr M as they sent me a £15 voucher!TA, glad your friend is having a better time and can go out.Well done on the coat.Take care all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning all.
Dull here but I've decided I'm getting the bus to the City Centre this morning to have a browse for a few things. The ironing can wait! I'm also waiting for a free day to get the bus over to Oxford, so I can look around the covered market there.
Not sure about childcare this week as DGS2 might have hand, foot and mouth. Apparently it's going around locally and his childminder thinks she saw a few spots on him yesterday.
@TA: so pleased your friend's DH is taking medication and hope it makes life much better for them both.
Off to make more tea. Keep well and warm.12 -
