Was Domestic & General Fixed-Fee Boiler Fix Still Available?

Hi everyone,
About four years ago, I remember using Domestic & General’s fixed-fee boiler repair service. It included either fixing the boiler or providing money towards a new one if it couldn’t be repaired.
I’m trying to find something similar now, but I can’t seem to locate the service. Does anyone know if it’s still available or if there’s an alternative?
Thanks for any guidance!

I looked at D&G boiler cover and the website went all weird, not sure if it's the website or they've just stopped covering boilers. British Gas do a boiler cover thingamy, but I'm loathed to give them any money. Think I'm just gonna self insure, we do have a good plumber/gas engineer for fixes. We had D&G cover on our range cooker at the old house. It was good to have, and worked out good value initially, but a bit expensive in the end for us.1

They were offering it last year but it was linked to the manufacturer. (Valliant) I think it was about £22 per month.Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

Gary, try the actual boiler manufacturer - many have such FPRs.But, often in the ~£300 range. The 'pro' is that they usually fix anything else they find that's obviously dodgy, and not just the faulty part. 'Con' is that they may deem your boiler 'Beyond Economical Repair' - and it'll likely cost ~£100 to be given that news. What is the make and model of your boiler? How old is it? And what's the issue/symptoms?

Could you provide an estimated cost for this repair? Thanks in advance for your helpI can't provide a quote - sorry - as I'm not a plumber. But if you know the parts required, you should be able to get a couple of quotes from local GasSafes?I'd suggest, tho', that at 12+ years old, a FPR from Vaillant themselves might be a good call, as they do check over for any other obvious dodgy parts. I recall the last time I used a FPR - can't remember if it was from D&G or GlowWorm/Vaillant direct - I was surprised at the list of parts they were willing to replace. The GS fellow said they mustn't have a call-back within 3 months - that was their aim!A diverter appears to be around the £100 mark, and you'd expect it to be replaced within an hour, so add the two to get a rough figure, I guess - just under £200? The pressure sensor is cheap - around £15 - and usually a quick unclip-reclip replacement job. But if it's looking like £200+ to sort the 'known' issue with your boiler, then a more comprehensive FPR might make sense? But, your call - I can't say for sure.2
