Massively delayed refund in breach of contract

Don't lose the will to live whilst reading this please I need serious help!
I ordered a dress £47.50 from Tu @ Sainsburys online 12/08/2024 paid with 9,500 nectar points & had it delivered to my local Argos store.Received it on 13/08/24 took it home opened ,it was immediately obvious that it was far too long so took it straight back( within an hour of receiving).The lady in the shop understood & said she'd return it & I would receive a refund with the next 28-30 days. We are now 109 since return & despite phone calls,online chats ,a register letter to head office I don't have any refund.I'm spending hours & money chasing up something that should have happened automatically.Been to citizens advice but still got nowhere as Sainsbury are blaming Argos & Argos are blaming Nectar.Please how do I sort this mess out without incurring any more charges?

To clarify - are you saying that the points have not been credited back to your nectar account?
(It's not clear what you are saying hasn't been refunded. Obviously if you paid for it with nectar points you aren't entitled to a money refund)0 -

I guess nobody has any clues what to do. I've been trying for some time to get someone to refund my points to no avail.0

Are Sainsburys saying that it was never received back then?
Did you get any proof of return when dropping of at Argos?
If not then you are stuck.
As to take it further you need proof of return/drop off.Life in the slow lane0
