Didnt know which section to put this in but have an ickle problem.
My old computer went pop last month so bought this Vista Home Premium one.
I use intuit business package and was running Intuit 2004 on my old computer. My problem is that Intuit will not run or install on this new computer. Have tried Intuit website for Vista compatible drivers...but no luck. They do not support anything older that 2005.
Without going back to manual paper book keeping......what else is available/compatible with Vista that a dullard Welsh woman could understand.....please?
Need whatever package it is to be able to run 2 or 3 seperate business accounts too.

Intuit will run but you've got to do a bit of messing around. It needs to be run in compatibility mode for Windows 98.0

Open Windows Explorer
Locate the application executable, probably C:\Program Files\Intuit\Intuit.exe
Right click the executable and click the Properties option.
Select the Compatibility tab.
Select the Run This Program in Compatibility Mode option.
From the drop-down list, choose the operating system you ran before upgrading to Vista,
If necessary, select the option to run the program as an administration.
Click OK.0 -
hmm......its a new computer with vista installed. The old operating system is not there. I have been unable to load the intuit programme properly.
Thank You for assistance though.
Anyone know another way?0 -
Windows 98 doesn't have to exist on your PC, compatibility mode tells vista to behave like windows 98 for the purpose of running the program0
