Good morning, seems dry outside.
Hi Skyline Express, it's good to meet you!
Yesterday was an ok day, we did what we'd planned, got home at about 4.30 pm. We had shepherd's pie and veg for our evening meal, I'd left everything ready in the fridge so it was easy.
It's a bit of a worrying time here, Dh had a Drs appt last week after a test result which has resulted in him being fast tracked for hospital appointments this week, and more tests. The good old health service swings into action pretty quickly at times like this.
Camelot I lost the plot a while ago, and never found it again!
Hope everyone has a good day, and thinking of our poorly people. Hope Mr Rosy soon feels better Rosy.
Take care folks.

Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet, hope the tests all come back clear.
Very wet out this morning and a bit cooler too. The weekend was very mild although quite damp.
My trip to Glasgow was good although the train on the way back was slightly delayed. I was in and out of John Lewis in a flash and didn't stray anywhere else. It was lovely and quiet but I can imagine it would get busy later.
Once home I wrapped the presents I bought and put them away in the cupboard of doom, another parcel arrived later in the day, just one to arrive now - that's for DS2's birthday on Christmas Eve. I feel at last I am on top of everything, just a few more presents to go.
Hope Mr Rosy is recovering well.
Welcome Skyline Express.
You're certainly kept busy Mehefin, hope the horsies are doing well.
Another busy week awaits, will get myself sorted and out to work. Take care. XX12 -
Morning - thanks for the start @Scarlet. You can edit your post to correct the date.No Artic blast yet although it's five degrees colder than yesterday, I'm sure it'll get colder during the week. Nothing much happened yesterday so I'll make up for it today. I'm off to the exercise class this morning then I have both the monthly and weekly banking to tackle.I hope that everyone is doing well. Who is going to Barcelona this week?12

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. I hope your worries over your DH's health problems are unfounded. It makes all the trivial things we worry about seem insignificant when faced with a healthy worry doesn't it/
I'm tripping off to Boundary Mill today with SIL. Sadly we won't be there too long as she has to take and pick up DGC on their school runs/ We have both put the M & S outlet as top priority and a bonus is it's still 10% off last marked price .I am hopeful of spotting more men's stocking fillers other than the usual socks and boxers!
More online spending was done yesterday. Honestly I will be glad when it's the 24th and the spending can stop! A rather expensive gymnastic leotard was ordered for youngest DGD. Gone are the days of a good old plain black one!!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, recovering (Mr Rosy) sad or lonely. Take care all stay safe xx

Hello all
It seems extra dark this morning! I’m off to work soon but not a super early start which is nice. Got all the downstairs Christmas decorations up and the tree yesterday - very early but it’s definitely made things cheerier. It did mean spending all morning cleaning beforehand.Scarlet - Hope the tests for Dh are ok, you are right the NHS comes into its own in these situations. I had similar with a DMum last year and DDad in the summer.Gers - no icy blast here yet either
Camelot - I have one parcel to arrive too, though no wrapping done yet!Have a good day all

Morning everyone off out soon to meet my friend for a coffee and a catch up welcome skyline scarlet I hope the tests come back alright it’s a worry when you are waiting for results but good that the NHS is dealing with it quickly. It’s still very dark here not looking forward to the cold snap we are forecast. I can’t remember where I read it but someone mentioned bacon and potato soup yesterday i remembered I have some cooking bacon in the freezer so a pan of that will be getting made today and it will make a little gap in the freezer I still have a order to put in at the butchers I save there all year I know we haven’t got this year out yet but my challenge next year is to get my savings up and one thing I’m determined to do is get my food bill down when I have a look back to many treats have been bought this year not good for my purse or my waistline. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing12

Morning all
Dry here and no rain due which is nice for a change, Rob is coming today and we are meeting our friends and going to a Christmas event it’s in a huge GC and they have a Christmas woodland walk with lights and decorations and a huge Christmas shop and a cafe it gets very booked up each year so we got tickets early I am very much looking forward to it, I asked Robs mum to send a bit more money as the cafe is on the expensive side but she said no £10 will do 🙄 so I shall have to find him something cheap ish on the menu and he will have to have water, it’s such a shame, I would put extra towards it but I have done in the past and it gets too expensive if I keep doing it.
Gers it’s me off to Barcelona on Wednesday morning with my dd, back Sunday xx
Its my OH Birthday today and I think that’s the last of the Birthdays before Christmas, we will do presents when we all get in tonight.
Dinner will be filled pasta with salad and garlic bread nice and easy after a long day.
Scarlett I hope the tests come back ok xxx
Have good days all and take care xx11 -
Morning everyone
Just a quickie from me as I have a phone call soon to do dads' financial assessment for social care - I've found all the information they asked for so hopefully it won't take too long.
Little one told me all about their holiday yesterday, right down to the pineapple cocktail she had on Abba night!
And she saw 'the real live Santa.'
Work later, it's very windy so I might take off at the bus stop. Hope everyone has a good day x11 -
Hi everyone,
We are still working our way through a series of illnesses. I spent the weekend alternating cold and burning up, I took a COVID test just in case but it's not that. Much better today. Steve has a cold and both children are throwing out high temperatures at the drop of a hat. Laura has decided to send Esben to school this afternoon after a week on antibiotics. He's been given the lead in their nativity so needs to have some rehearsal. Esther will be at home today.
I hope to get to some of the neglected chores today. I also have a Christmas cake to make at some point.
Have a good day
