I have just been scammed. I immediately spoke to my Bank(Barclays) and they are attempting to deal with it for me. Trying to speak to Paypal is a waste of time!! I have deleted the fraudulent sites from my Facebook account.
The following is a thread from another site that perfectly describes what has just happened to me -
'I have uncovered a network of fraudulent accounts and scams via Facebook and Paypal that hackers / fraudsters are using Paypal and Facebook to steal money from the public. Trying to get PayPal to respond to this is impossible. The hackers are smart and block end users after a specific time window and change/remove their online items. What they don't do is remove their PayPal details, so I've been trying to report these without any success to PayPal. Using their transactional method with pre-defined dropdowns does not work, as this example does not meet any of their requirements. Would love to speak with a human instead of their poor AI. I have been able to track some of these funds and can see hundreds of people have been scammed. I logged this with action fraud, but I didn't expect it to be so hard to inform PayPal and didn't expect them to make it so easy for criminals, which is why they probably use PayPal. Any help is much appreciated as these scam are happening daily.'

I'm not sure what has actually happened to you? Are you saying you fell for a scammer on facebook?0

It sounds like you're saying you've been scammed, and you're trying to warn other people so they don't get scammed.
But you haven't said what the scam is, and how it works. So people won't know what it is you're trying to warn them about.
FWIW, the person you are quoting seems to be complaining about the 'PayPal Donation' facility - which is meant for making donations to charities
And so it shouldn't be used for paying for goods or services, because it doesn't offer buyer protection.
(Just like you shouldn't use 'PayPal Sending to a Friend', to pay for goods and services.)
So were you tricked into paying for goods and services by 'PayPal Donation', and therefore cannot get a refund?
PayPal has now blocked the account in question from receiving 'PayPal Donations' - so it sounds like they do take action, when they receive complaints.
