I have an eBay offer to get 100% off of ad fees for Cyber Monday.

How doe this work? Is this to do with promoting an item?
How long should I promote for?
I have never use this feature before and do have 1 expensive item that may be helped with a promotion.....if it's free!!!

I have this offer too, but not entirely sure how it works. If I select the offer does it mean that I have to pay for the listings or does it work concurrently with the 300 free listings offer? I don't mind giving it a go but I don't want to pay for the listings if I don't have to.

Exactly this!
Theres no mention of any fees etc anywhere, so I wanted to give it a go but not sure if I would be charged!
Theres no T&C's to read either....

I have this too & was thinking of selecting the dates in the offer i.e. now to about the 15th  December. Otherwise, I think if it sells e.g. on the 20th I'd have to pay fees.
I had to tick which listings I want promoted - can I cancel this at any time?
Hopefully someone that understands this will comment soon & explain it (please!)

PROMOTIONS TERMS & CONDITIONS

1. Promotion Period

The Promoted Listings with a general strategy Ad fee discount  (“Promotion”) will be open from 00:00:01 on Nov 28, 2024 UK local time and will end at 23:59:59 on Dec 15, 2024 UK local time (“Promotion Period”).

 

2. Eligibility

 This Promotion is open to sellers who:

i.are registered on www.eBay.co.uk (the “Site”);

ii.are invited to participate;

iii.actively opt-in to the Promotion via the RSVP link on the promotional landing page between 00:00:01 Nov 28, 2024 UK local time and Dec 15, 2024 23:59:59 UK local time.

iv.promote (and/or maintain) at least one listing on the Site during the Promotion Period using Promoted Listings with a general strategy.

v.reside in the European Union or the United Kingdom.

Participation is linked to the seller’s account and is not transferable.

 

3. Procedure

Accept the invitation to take part in the Promotion by creating or maintaining a listing and promoting it using Promoted Listings with a general strategy during the Promotion Period and receive up to a maximum of £50 off your Promoted Listings with a general strategy fee. 

The 100% off will only be applicable to listings that have Sold (“Sold” means that the item has been paid for in full by the buyer) on the Site during the Promotion Period in order for the Promotion to apply, resulting in Promoted Listings fees based on the advertising percentage rate elected.

The Promoted Listings fee discount will be applied automatically. Promoted items and Promoted Listings campaigns must comply with all applicable eBay policies, including the eBay Marketing Program Terms.

The promotional discount may take up to two days to apply to your account, depending on your activation date. Immediately following activation, you will be informed of the start date of your discount.

Any other fees (such as insertion fees and listing upgrade fees) will still apply and will be charged in full in accordance with the eBay fees policy.

 

4. Restrictions and exclusions

The following exclusions apply:

●        Sellers who have not been invited to participate and/or listings created by anyone not invited to participate.

●        Sellers who do not meet eBay’s minimum seller performance standards. Please sign in to My eBay and view your Seller Dashboard to verify whether your account is currently meeting the required performance standards.

●        Sellers who have been invited to participate, but who have not actively opted in

●        Listings that will apply Promoted Listings after the Promotion Period.

●        Auction listings as only fixed price listings are eligible for the Promotion. (this is additional line in the UK landing page)

●        Any items listed that don’t comply with eBay’s listing policies or prohibited and restricted items policies.

●        Any items listed in the classified formats.

●        Any items listed in the ‘Property’, ‘Cars, Motorcycles & Vehicles’ and ‘Coins, Banknotes & Bullion’ categories. However, please note that items listed in the ‘Vehicle Parts & Accessories’ category are included.

●        Any items listed during the Promotion Period but sell after the end of the Promotion Period.

●        Any item listed during the Promotion Period but scheduled to start after the Promotion Period.

●        Listings that are Sold on any eBay site other than ebay.co.uk

●        Identical listings that don't comply with our duplicate listings policy.

The following restrictions apply:

●        Promotions will not apply to any credit provided to users as part of their Shop Subscription. This credit will be applied to Promoted Listings activity first, and promotional discounts will be applied to subsequently incurred Promoted Listings fees.

 

5. General terms

●       Any attempt to manipulate the Promotion will lead to automatic exclusion from participation.

●        eBay reserves the right to suspend, change or cancel the Promotion at any time, in the event of circumstances arising which, in eBay's opinion, make it necessary for it to do so. eBay reserves the right to add additional terms and conditions for certain parts of this promotion.

●        eBay also reserves the right to exclude users on the basis that their seller accounts have fallen below the minimum required seller performance standards or for any reason in eBay’s absolute discretion. Sellers should confirm eligibility by checking their account status on My eBay.
