So many of these dodgy companies on FB and other social media at the moment interestingly many use exactly the same phrases for the extremely positive feedback that ‘happy purchasers’ leave. Often if you are tempted to click through to the shop the t and cs are very non existent or meaningless . They are almost template companies, same layout, same about us pages and same positive reviews.

The 2 separate purchases totalled over £100 but individually were both under £100. Both were paid for with MasterCard Debit.

I'll continue to pursue with them via email and make some noise via TrustPilot (has worked for 1 or 2 people), but have resigned myself to losing out.
You aren't the first to fall for these companies.

If nothing turns up at all, you could try contacting your bank to get the charges refunded for goods not received.

If something does turn up, then fingers crossed the quality is reasonable. Definitely review on TrustPilot!

For future reference, when buying ANYTHING online, go to the "contact us" bit at the bottom of the website, and look for a UK address and ideally a landline or UK mobile number. You could then use companies house to verify how long the company have been trading.

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

You may find any returns are to China, at your cost, and they will go missing into a black hole.
  • Update:

I sent an email earlier threatening legal action (a white lie) and claims with my bank (more truth in this) and received the following.

    "Thank you for your reply.

We are sorry to hear that you want to cancel both orders.
We usually really don't do this with black friday but I discussed this with my manager and she agreed to cancel the orders, just this once.

Our policy is clearly stated on our website, next time please read it in advance before placing an order. Easier for both of us.

    Wish you a nice day."

I've since had confirmations through saying the orders have been cancelled - I now need to make sure the refunds are processed.

Thanks again for all of your comments and advice.
