I belatedly started a few Christmas jobs yesterday, will continue today.
I'm visiting a friend in hospital this afternoon, and Dh is going to the big toy shop at a nearby shopping centre to buy dgs's present from us.
That's the main events for today.
Hope everyone has a good day, thoughts to our poorlies.
Take care folks.

Good morning Scarlet, thanks for the start. How can it be December already!
I've been awake since 5am, the wind and rain disturbed me, plus my mind working overtime. I've planned all my jobs for today, whether they get done is another matter.
Lamb shank out of freezer for dinner, will do some roasties and veg, and if I can be bothered a cauliflower cheese.
Nothing else going on here have a good day all, and hugs to anyone who needs them.

Morning all. A bit drizzly here today.
Luckily it was still mild yesterday and the Christmas Event went off well. Thanks Taff for the reminder about wrist warmers. I had thought about getting some a few weeks ago and will try to sort something out before Boxing Day, when they would next be required!
Today I have nothing planned, although DH will be out from about 5pm so we'll have an early dinner. Will be watching the rugby later and might make a cake.
Have a peaceful Sunday everyone.12 -
Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. I could cope with winter if every day was this mild! Sadly we are back to normal tomorrow.
Supermarket sweep with DS this morning. I tell myself I don't need much yet somehow end up with a long list.
I made Christmas progress yesterday at last. I put my festive head on and spent all morning wrapping or bagging all the pressies I have bought so far. More to get yet and still money to draw for the 8 gt Nephews and nieces I buy for.! I have decided I don't need the added hassle of shopping for toys for them all so money it is. Then I spent the afternoon writing the cards. I am still using an ancient list with many names crossed out over the years. 3 more to cross off yesterday. RIP to them all.
A freezer tidy t'other day turned up some sliced beef in gravy so I got that out for lunch today. Still the veg to prep.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all our poorlies, fed up or lonely. Take care all, stay safe xx

The weather is horrid here, supposed to be sunny and bright later but I can’t see it at the moment. My craft fair yesterday was ok - a very slow start but picked up. I also managed to get a birthday present for next year plus some lovely edible goodies for dinner last night and snacks.Today will be a trip in the loft for the first lot of Christmas decorations and the tree etc. We don’t usually put them up this early but feels like the house needs cheering up this year after such a grey and wet year.Hope everyone is ok and can enjoy their day

Morning All
Overcast this morning but not raining at the moment. Yesterday was the same with quite a brisk wind overnight.
I'm with you TA, got most of the presents sorted and wrapped yesterday so I feel a bit better about everything. I also did all the jobs I had listed and made inroads into today's list. I'm off to Glasgow in a minute to get a present from JL, sadly not in stock for delivery. Shouldn't take too long - I'll take the train as it saves a lot of hassle and will be cheaper too, car park charges are astronomical.
I thought the new sofa was arriving today but it's next week, I'm truly losing the plot!
DD and family are in Morocco at the moment on holiday, it looks lovely there, warm and sunny with clear blue skies. Little one will love it as there are many swimming pools to choose from.
Have a peaceful Sunday, take care. XX11 -
Morning everyone - dull and damp here this morning, but not cold.
Hope you all have a good Sunday. x12 -

We , but mostly he, cleared the bit at the back yesterday ready for the shed which arrived friday at stupid o clock in the morning, so I'll level it today and start laying the slabs back down again. I would like ot go to the allotment but I don't think that's on the cards until tomorrow afternoon briefly..Leftover chinese for dinner, and very nice it was too last night. That's bout all today, so take care all, apart from camelot, you must write a hundred times on your calendar

Morning everyone it’s dull and wet here of course nobody came to see me yesterday because my house was shining like a new pin even outside was cleaned but I feel a bit better when it’s all done it won’t last long especially that damn kitchen floor it’s definitely one of my jobs to do is get that changed it’s far to light . I’ve got a little beef joint in the oven and while it’s on I’ve got a couple of lemons need using up I’m going to make a lemon drizzle cake and some cheese scones then I’m doing nothing until I sit down and watch the strictly results. At least it’s a bit milder today but it has to change Brrrr . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing11

Morning everyone
Raining here though it's mild again.
I had a lazy afternoon yesterday and read my book for a couple of hours with my feet up. I did wrap little ones' Christmas present up and was planning to take it down to mam and dads this morning, so little eyes can't see it, but I can't when it's raining.
I'll go down there soon as mam is going to church. Other than that, I have no plans, other than to play with little one later.
Eldest DD has just sent me a picture of pink Pringles, they're sweet potato flavour, I've requested a tube when she comes at Christmas, little one would like them. She's having Christmas dinner with her friends today, there's a few of them take it in turns to host each year.
Hope everyone has a lovely day today x12 -
Thanks for the start @Scarlet and also to @-taff for the carol. Today it's mild again and we're back to rain and dullness. So dull, I've got the lights on. And I'd like to know where this year has gone please, how have we got to December already?
I've no particular plans for today other than finalising a grocery delivery order and freezing two tubs of curry left over from last night. I might bake a cake - the tin is empty and I do like a slice of something with my afternoon cuppa. Oh, and I have November's household budget to reconcile. That could be enough for a Slothful Sunday, couldn't it?
Don't worry about losing the plot @camelot1001, I thought I was too yesterday when I couldn't find my phone. I hadn't been out so I knew it was in the house, but where? It had even got to the point where I was going to send DS an email and ask him to phone so I'd be able to hear it ringing. I eventually found it in the spare bedroom when I remembered I'd been in there earlier to look for something and there it was, on the window ledge. Doh.
Tea tonight is a Cornish pasty, sprouts, carrots and mash with something (as yet to be decided) for afters but right now it's porridge time.
Enjoy the day whatever you're doing, hugs where needed or wanted. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.12
