Do RM Special Delivery by 1pm still compensate the postage fee if it turns up next day after 1pm?

Hi all. I had a RM SD by 1pm turn up after 1pm the following working day and upon trying to put a claim in, a message pops up saying 'sorry, we cannot continue with your claim.....you must allow 1 working day from the posting date before we can treat the item as being delayed'.

Unsure if RM have changed their terms on this (again, esp since Covid) but used to be if it even turned up next day at 13:01 you would receive the postage cost back as compensation after going through with a claim.

Sorry if it's been asked before. Tia.

There are several caveats now. Firstly there is a cut off time for the guarantee to kick in, and that depends on the place you sent it from,  it cannot be to an excluded postcode and weekends are not counted unless the upgrade was paid for.  Even with all that The compensation then seems to only apply if item is a full day late.

Yeah, from what I've read I think it has to be an entire 'extra' 24 hours. Sent from Glasgow to London, so hardly difficult to reach areas. Was sent Tues expected by 1pm Wednesday.

Perhaps RM should drop the 'Guaranteed' part - you can't say that if it can't be guaranteed. seems more of a 'well, too bad it didn't turn up next working day by 1pm and don't expect the postage cost to be refunded'.
