Windows 11 - how to show images full screen

I have a file of images lifted from websites which I use to illustrate various points to small groups of youngsters, and it works best if we look at them in turn on my laptop.
They all open at different sizes. Is there any way, perhaps using different (hopefully free) software, that I can get is so that as I go through them using the left and right arrows on the keyboard, they all come up full screen?

Faststone image viewer is free and does what you want (select the expand smaller images option in the settings)
other free options exist but I’ve used faststone for years2 -
Thank you! I'll have a go on that tomorrowWe're all doomed0

Use the Photos app in Windows 11 and ensure the auto-zoom preference is set -2

It sounds like Presentation software would be a good solution - like PowerPoint or Google Slides or Libre Office Impress.
You would build a series of 'slides' - each slide would fill the screen. A slide could have just one photo resized/cropped to fill the whole slide, or multiple photos on a slide. Plus you can add text to the photos, insert text slides in between the photo slides, add title slides, etc, etc.
But there might be a learning curve for you.
