Factory painted furniture longevity

Options
I've been looking for some new bedroom furniture and like the paint and wood type.
Then I thought - would the paint chip? No chance to touch up.
Could someone who has some tell me how durable that paint is and if it might chip or scratch please.

Not cheap stuff so it's sort of important.

How long is a piece of string?

Does the company give any guarantee?

I've got some old Ikea stuff that is fine and other stuff that scuffed after some rough use.

I have a white painted desk and chair that is from somewhere else (White Company?  no label, acquired second hand).  Despite being used for years it looks sparkling new.  It even survived bouncing around the back of my car when I moved it.

    Thanks Brie. Interesting.
I used to work in a hand made furniture business sold to some well known companies when the painting came in. Professional sprayer and paint and it stayed.
But I guess it's a risk. Unfortunately they don't sell through sites that have reviews.
