For £900 what's the best plasma tv i can..

buy for that amount, been looking around but still confused.

I will only use it to watch normal tv + films, got a wii but hardly ever use it, will be connected to cable box ntl.

For what i am going to use it for is it worth getting a plasma or is it just personal choice.

Cheers in advance
if i had known then what i know now

  • Good looking, great sound, crisp picture with vivid colours and fine detailing, and a built in upscaler for your dvd to get better quality pictures.

Plenty of options for input into your TV: 2xHDMI, 2xSCART, 1xComponent, 1xPC, and also an sd slot for looking at your photos on it.

Obviously, it is always going to be a matter of opinion, but having seen my FIL's one, I just wish I had the money to buy one.

I wouldn't mind, but I had to set the thing up for him :o

i have the LCD version of that set ,

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Panasonic-37LZD70-Widescreen1080P-Full-Freeview/dp/B000VT2XW8

and it is eye rubbingly good when you have HD on it. it is also the mutts nutts with standard def. sound is nothing special ( but perfectly okay ) but as most end up the jewel in the crown of Home cinema systems , thats a not a problem

i purchased it from a local supplier who was a mere £30 quid more expensive than net cheapest , however they were offering a full 5 year warranty with it at no extra cost . i think stores have a arrangment with Panansonic that only they can offer the 5 year warranty , while internet suppliers can only offer 1 year as standard on have to sell the extra 4 years, at well over £100+

Panasonic are king of the castle with HD sets ect at the moment ,
Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:

It depends on the size of screen you are after.

Up to 37" go for LCD. Anything bigger definitely go for plasma.
