Outside is a balmy 10° a lovely change from deep frost.Yesterday morning I made a big pot of leek and lentil soup, stashed some in the freezer as I have a couple of things to eat up first. Then I drove to the pool for the exercise class but forgot my swimming bag 😱 so had to drive back for it. Is it age or stupidity? Anyway, I really enjoyed the hard work and a full power shower. My electric shower at home is not too great and, in winter the mains water is colder so harder to heat.Today I'm heading down the east side the peninsula for a hair colour and cut. I'm hoping for clear bright views of Arran. That'll take up most of my day, I'll be listening to my audiobook on the drive.I wish everyone a safe and warm day.12

Hi Gers, thanks for starting,
I'm sitting in the quiet contemplating everything that needs to be done, It's been such a full on week with sick children that the house there seems to be a lot. We want to decorate the house this weekend and L and B have a party tomorrow so we've booked to take the children to see the new Moana film if they're well enough. If they're not we'll have to pass the tickets on to some friends.
The Dr rang yesterday evening saying that she wanted Esben to be checked out by the hospital so Laura took him, luckily there is nothing serious but the Dr there doubled the length of time he has to take his antibiotics (which we were in full agreement with). They were out till nearly midnight and he slept most of the time so he was wide awake when they returned. In addition the nursery had let Esther sleep way longer and later than usual so she was up until late too.
Esben's teacher emailed Laura to say that they had cast him in the lead role of their nativity, The Sleepy Shepherd so she needs to collect his lines today so that we can practice with him. I don't think I'll be able to go this time because I'll be looking after Esther and then Nate on the days it's on.
We are going up to Yorkshire next week for a few days which I'm looking forward to, we can't get into the house until Friday so we're going to spend a couple of days in York beforehand.
Have a good day.

Morning. It's cold but dry so far today. I was up stupid early for a shed delivery. The messages about times went to OHs phone so it was a surprise when he knocked the door..Never mind, I acn nap after. and the shed is stacked at the side now. Lovely neighbour even came out and moved his car for the driver being as the street seems to be a poster for parking all over the place and having to chicane down the street. A friend is coming round today or being as the sheds here now, we migh go out. I'll message her at a more civilised time, she's not an early riser. OH is off out to his works do tonight, no spouses invited, so I'm home alone, I might treat myself to something and watch a film. Other than that, no plans...Boot puller worked a treat, little things like that really please mecamelot, hope your sofas were collected! YorksLass, good news about your DS! Ruby, glad you're feeling a bit better. NRA, I went to one of those once, it was really good fun, I don't know why I haven't done it since. Working Mum on the gardening board made some pomanders and they look really good. Coxy, hope Canterbury yielded some presents
nanny, good to hear Mr Fixit is keeping up with his excercise
Izzy, healthy eating is overrated in the Winter

Sadly, no glorious sunrise here today - thick grey cloud everywhere. I'll have to look hard to see Arran, perhaps it'll lift for the drive home.

Morning folks and thanks GERS. Safe drive down to the hairdressers. We had a multi coloured sky earlier but now reduced to just grey although they do say we will get some sun soon. With the dizzy heights of 8 deg to follow.
I am breaking the 10th Commandment here - I am coveting the apartment that Auntie J has just moved into! We got a guided tour yesterday and it's gorgeous and so spacious, has a balcony (and a communal roof garden!). She loves it and no wonder! Oh well I can dream!
It's Friday Tidy today then I must put my mind to Christmas as it's not going to go away! I need a sort out of the meagre gift stash I have already got and also order various gift cards on line. Then tomorrow I MUST get my festive head on and plan a shopping trip. Usually by this time all cards are written and presents wrapped.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, fed up or sad. I hope the littlies are on the mend SNOOZER and Dp1's DGD is keeping well and enjoying her break. Take care all stay safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"11 -
Morning all. Sunny here so far. And no overnight frost!
Have finally switched over to using the new laptop, but still have some recipes saved on the old one, which I'll have to print off if I decide I want them. The old one no longer connects to the printer though
Sorted out meals until Monday, as we are both in and out a lot for the next few days. We will have a late lunch today as I'm due at a Christmas lights event this evening at 6pm and will have to allow almost 2hrs for the M1 and parking.
Happy Friday everyone.10 -
Morning everyone
Milder here this morning when I popped out to the bin.
Last nights' pottery event was good fun, lots of chat along with making Christmas trees, I really enjoyed it.
I had some lovely photos from DD last night, there's one where little one is about to see Santa - her face is lit up with excitement. They've had a lovely week and will be home sometime today, I'll pop in to their house before work to put their heating on and there should be milk to go in the fridge. I expect I'll see them tomorrow.
Well done Izzy - I have now got my presents out of the cupboard and into a box so I can see what I've got! I have little ones ready so I'll get that wrapped before she's here - away from little eyes and fingers.
I'd best get on, hope everyone has a good day.
Snoozer - I hope the antibiotics work and Esben is better soon x12
