Vacuum or Humidity in Fridge Storage?

We have just got a fridge freezer with a vacuum compartment and a humidity compartment. There appears to be different ideas about the best way to store fresh food. I would have thought vacuum would be best but others believe humidity? Any thoughts please or do I have to put a piece of everything fresh in both compartments and see how they do?

Have to be honest, I didn’t know either of those were a thing. I just cram stuff in the fridge wherever there is room. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Do the instructions not give the proper guidance?

The fridge is colder at the bottom than at the top, so it is better to put raw meat, fish etc on the bottom shelf. Milk, cream etc will also last longer on the bottom shelf.
Items that do not go off very easily such as fizzy drinks, mustard, chutney etc can go in the door.
Everything else on the Top/middle shelves, except veg and salad which goes in the salad drawer.0 -
I've done many food hygiene courses over the years - I am more careful with meat etc - the rest can take its chances and I've not poisoned myself yet.
As with anything, I follow the rules very strictly at work, less so when it's only me I'm going to kill. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
