Claiming attendance allowance Abroad

Hello,
Is it possible to claim attendance allowance indefinetly if one is moving abroad permanently outside of the EU ? My family member has been claiming it for the last 12 months but is considering retiring abroad, can they still continue to receive it ? I've been in contact with the DWP and they've said they'd call me back to confirm but haven't yet .
thanks

There is a lot of information about this on the .gov website. A lot depends on which country they are moving to. There about 16 non EU countries mentioned on the website where AA may be paid.0

Attendance allowance is only paid abroad for very limited periods, possibly 30 days? It may be extended to 13 weeks in certain circumstances.( Hospital treatment etc) It is not paid in the case of long term stays or permanent moves abroad.Murphybear said:There is a lot of information about this on the .gov website. You may have read that it can be paid in some countries but only within the fixed parameters, not permanently.
Any proposed stays abroad over 30 days must be notified to relevant department in UK.0
