Parking Fine at Marriott Hotel in Waltham Abbey (Parking Eye)!!

I arrived at the car park at 6am to park and share a lift with a colleague. It was dark when I arrived but I paid £4 at the machine (which was stated on the machine to cover 24 hours of parking). I returned 12 hours later and collected my car. Just over a week later I received a PCN for £100 from Parking Eye! I appealed (and sent a photo of the parking ticket paid for) only to have this rejected on the basis I had not paid the correct amount as per the signs in the car park - I went back to check and saw that the signs have different amounts (£10 for 24 hours) than shown on the ticket machines (£4 for 24 hours). This does not seem fair to me as the machines state one amount and the newer signs have different amounts.... to me this does not seem fair at all!? I am not debating if I escalate via Popla or just pay the £100 fine and move on.
Update - I am not concerned further due to the fact I went back there today to take a photo of said signs/machines and am now concerned I get another PCN (I was there for no more than 5 mins!).
This seems highly unethical on by Parkingeye / Marriott.
Any advice greatly received.

Complain about the ambiguous signs to Marriott and ask them to cancel the PCN
The whole private parking industry is unethical and the government have been trying to regulate it for many years2 -
It is nit a fine. No paying it!
This is illegal:"I went back to check and saw that the signs have different amounts (£10 for 24 hours) than shown on the ticket machines (£4 for 24 hours). "As well as the massive complaint to Marriott, send your signage evidence to ParkingEye and just prove you paid and tell them the machine says £x and the sign says £y, so they must apologise and sort this mess out or you will report them to Trading Standards, the BPA and your MP.
Can you show us some photos? It might help other victims at the same Marriott.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
