Received email from HL yesterday of two new Treasury T bills maturing March and June next year.
Expecting when the discounted price is struck, the yield to maturity of the 3 month bond may be in the region of 4.4 to 4.5% so invested in that expectation.
For those seeking safe short duration fixed returns for their ISAs/Sipps these issues might appeal. As usual, no dealing costs on new issues.
If being considered for a GIA account, remember the gain at maturity is not tax free and liable to income tax ( deeply discounted securities rules ).
If you are with HL tomorrow is the closing date.
