Renewing my car insurance after using an AMC.

Hi all,
I had an accident earlier this year where the other party has admitted liability.
At the time, I bypassed my insurers and used an accident management company to handle the repairs and to provide a hire car. My insurers were only notified of the accident, but I did not proceed with them.
The at fault parties insurer has paid out for the repairs, however currently they are disputing the hire care charges (which I've read is usual) so I believe that the claim is currently outstanding?
It's now that time of year where I need to renew my car insurance, however I'm unsure of how to proceed as I had used an AMC. I know I need to declare accidents I've had over the past 5 years, however do I need to mark this down as unsettled/at fault; or can I proceed as if it has settled as I had not gone through my insurer, they paid for the repairs (but not hire), and admitted liability?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Personally, I'd mark it as settled/non-fault in the questions to get quotes. BEFORE buying contact the seller in question and double check they are happy with you taking this approach given liability is established and the element normally covered by insurance is settled and so had you used your insurer they'd have closed the file by now.0
