Hi all,

my sister has just migrated across from ESA to universal credit and is in the non work related requirements group.

However we keep getting messages for tasks on the to do list. I have called to question this and they said that she will need to check the to do list every day and complete any tasks.

is this correct??

it seems odd - she has a lot of mental health issues which affects her cognitive functioning so it will be very difficult for her to remember to do this every day.

shes not at a stage that she needs me to be her proxy and  to have everything sent to me.

So is this correct that someone in this universal credit group has to do this

It isnt right and they might need to be reminded that she is in the limited capacity group and has moved over from esa support group. She can do this via her journal. I had a few errors regarding carers status when we first migrated but a message sorted it

It takes several weeks for ESA to confirm her details with UC. This is usually done by the time of the first payment.
If she hasn't already, advise her to put a note on her Journal stating she is migrating over from ESA Support Group.
  • Thanks, I have put a note on the system for her. It’s all very confusing

The changeover period can be chaotic, but I promise you things do settle down and smooth out.

Is she actually getting asked to complete work / job search related tasks? Or is it just things like confirming the Rent details the Landlord has provided etc?
