Morning all
Damp and overcast here and quite chilly the fire may be lit earlier today.I have had two nights where I am unable to sleep due to coughing when I lay down the muck seems to collect on my chest and I spend most of the night coughing I must say I do feel very rough indeed, I cancelled Rob today and will have to see how I am tomorrow I would not want him or his mum to get this.
I need to do some shopping later or we will have nothing for dinner but I may do a supermarket sweep and get home for a rest, I do have a few more presents but I can do that on the sofa.
I think it’s salmon for dinner tonight and I’ve got some frozen white fish to cook for the dogs with some sweet potatoes they love a bit of fish.
Hugs to all in need xx
Have good days all and take care xx10 -
Hello all, it's dark, damp and dreary here today and none too warm either. I can't remember what I did yesterday, my minds a blurr.
Sadly I have to make an effort to go out today as Dad needs a bill paying, I would rather stay home cwtched up under my blanket, but hey ho such is life. We'll have a cup of coffee and put the world to right, his version of it anyway. Apparently he dragged himself to town on the bus yesterday, but he says he won't be doing that again as it was too much for him. I've been telling him that all along as he had failed to walk around Aldi to just do his shopping, but he's too stubborn to listen.
Hope everyone has a good day. Hugs from afar to the poorly ones
nan xx
Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently11 -
Morning all! It's cold and drizzly, the fire is already on and will stay on. Worktops were fitted yesterday, they were here for a maximum half hour, so that means the plumber can come Saturday along with the electrician tonight to fit the extractor fan. I did plug the hole in the bathroom wall but it's still fer fer freezing in there. And the tiler is coming next week to do the backsplash after which I will have a working funtional kitchen, which will be strange. I'm planning making pasta with all the room
Then I'll be on a mission to find a table and chairs. Plans today are go and pay the kitchen bill, go to the upcycle place to see what they have, message OHs mum, and see if I can find someone to build a fence.
TA, gad you're better today, sounds awful [I feel your pain as a recipent of someone kneeling on my chest to get a wisdom tooth out years ago, never forgotten!] Nanny, sorry you're having to dela with your dad being a knob, hurry back and wrap up! Coxy, hope you're settling in well at your new place. mehefin, I think we should have a Tart Off. You do caerphilly [ love that stuff] and I'll try a welsh rarebit tart. Ruby, if you have trouble breathing, get yourself off to the docs immediately. It sound like the one I had [ lots of oughing, chest full of gunk but nothing coming up] . Ohs friend in work keeps telling him about the 100 day cough which is quite apt so far for us.It's been five weeks so far. Allie, glad your seond fair went better. Izzy, the light show sounds fab, hope you have a great time! You can't put a dog flap in can you? save you standing in the cold in the stupid early morningStay warm all, cuddle up with films and books and chocolate..

Good afternoon. After a wet start we now have blue skies and sunshine. Blooming chilly though.
Bit of a slow start today after 2 days of rushing to take cars to the garage. Little jobs done such as topping up hand wash bottles.
I'm roasting the thigh from the massive turkey leg. We'll have curry tonight and I think there will be enough left over for a stew tomorrow.
Sorry I can't remember anything I've read so I'll just wish everyone a good day, and hope any poorlies get better.10
