Good morning, there's a hard frost here, so it's a bit chilly. The heating will click on soon though.
Not much to report here, we went to the quiz last night, met up with friends.
I need to make a few lists today, and there's some ironing to do.
TA, hope your mouth is less sore, and thinking about anyone else who is not well.
Take care folks, keep warm.

Morning allShopping trip yesterday came to an abrupt halt when I checked my emails while waiting in a queue at checkout. Email telling me a delivery I was expecting would be arriving at the earliest in 25 minutes time! The email was sent at 8am and I read it at 8.55am. Rushed home and the delivery driver had just arrived, phew.Very wet here this morning but supposed to clear up later. Some housework to do and putting a loaf in the breadmaker.Hope your mouth feels better TA and hugs to all the poorlies xHave a good day all x12

Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet - did you win?
Hope your mouth is ok this morning TA, sounds awful.
Beautifully sunny day yesterday, would be nice to have another but not holding my breath. I'm full of very snotty cold this morning, must be what the sore throat last week was working on. Still going to work, it's good to share!
Picked up an order yesterday so that's eldest DGD sorted for Christmas, also picked up something for DGS on Monday so I'm on a roll.
Hope everyone is ok, take care. XX12 -
Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. No frost for us but at 1 deg it's none too warm. Sunny spells forecast.
Thanks for all the good wishes. Yesterday I felt so knocked out by it all I had another slothful day but today I must get off my arris and tackle a few jobs. But the highlight is that I can ditch "baby food" and go back to solids today! Nothing too taxing and any chewing must be done on the side that's not stitched.
I got a text off eldest DGD last night asking if I would be in late afternoon as she will be over from Uni for an appointment. Just timing it for tea-time so I had better do a freezer rummage shortly .The phantom messer-upper has been at it again so I'll give the freezer a good tidy up whilst out there. I may need my gloves on!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all, stay safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"12 -
Morning all.It was so lovely to have a dry and calm day yesterday, the sun even came out though there wasn't any heat in it. In the evening the fog came down again. I was out at a meeting so, once again, drove home very slowly. This morning my cleaner is coming, cue me tidying up the coffee table, it's the only place in the house which is chaos central. I'm going out when he's here, I have an appointment so it's good timing.I hope that all are well.12

Hello everyone
TA Glad you are feeling slightly better - it does sound like you had a horrid time.Gers - I’m increasingly disliking driving at night which is bizarre having done so for my job for years previously. It’s making me even more of a hermit!Glad two days of college work are over - I was tired last night but managed to stay awake for GBBO final (no spoilers in case some haven’t watched it).Today is the postponed shopping trip with DMum, not sure how much she’ll want to do - think there will have to be several short trips.Hope everyone in the south avoids the newest storm.Take care

Morning from Mehefinland.
Well it was bright and sunny for a nanosecond but the dull cloud is back. had my latest Covid jab last night. Arm is quite sore and very little sleep. Popped some paracetamol but I think a lazier day may be in order.
My lovely binmen took all the recycling yesterday _and there was a lot. Unusually it all ended up in the lorry, as more often than not there is stuff all over the floor after they have been!! Need to get some ideas for DS' birthday on New Years Eve, not that he will be here with me. Hard to think he will be 31. Similarly Dawn's 'step-mother' who was also her godmother (long story). She's in her nineties and as sharp as a tack although physically not so good.
I had to smirk (perverse sense of humour) about the thread on Welsh cheese tarts. I'm sure Caerfilli or Perlas would make lovely fillings. Bit like Glamorgan sausagesTaff's free range cooker comes to mind.
Right off for a snoozette before the next load of equine chores beckons
Hugs and spoons as always
Mehefin aka Derek

Good morning all
Thank you for the start Scarlet
TA glad you're feeling a bit better today.
Izzy enjoy your evening out
Yesterday was dry so I managed to get the washing out on the line. Different story today, it's pouring with rain.
Lots to do but I don't know how much, if anything, will get done.
Take careIf you walk at night no-one will see you cry.11 -
Thanks for the start @Scarlet. It's supposed to be bright and sunny today but at the moment it's still on the dark side and frosty.
Glad to hear you're feeling a bit better today @TA and can tackle "proper" food!
I didn't get the bathroom finished yesterday, thanks to numerous telephone interruptions, so that's top of today's agenda along with a bit of admin stuff. I had two walks, one to the print & stationery shop to get some documents scanned and emailed to me and one to the Co-Op. These are in different directions, hence the two walks. Still, got my daily dose of exercise and fresh air.
I took advantage of the latest frozen food deal - 3 for £4 - and bought two boxes of battered cod and a bag of scampi that will provide the bones of 6 meals for me, plus a red pepper and a bunch of spring onions that were marked down. I'll have one of the fish tonight with oven chips and mushy peas. Last night's risotto went down a treat too.
On my way home I posted DH's Health Record folder back to the District Nursing team and returned a book to The Little Free Library. Failed again, as I came home with 4 more.Books, along with knitting yarn, are my weaknesses.
That's it for now folks, enjoy the day. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.9 -
Morning everyone
Grey and rainy here, it's meant to last all day.
I'm not at work today, I'll go down to mam and dads for a cuppa then for some shopping - I don't need much just bread and rolls and fresh fruit. Very disappointed by my M and S fruit I bought last week - grapes and satsumas were both so sour. I ate some but binned the rest.
This afternoon I'm going to sort the Christmas presents bought already and write a list of what I still need. I also need to finish sorting the Lego I have for little one, I'll wrap it so it can come out of its' hiding place in my wardrobe, where it is wrapped in a towel.
I also need to start gluing together lots of lolly sticks ready for our Christmas craft morning at nursery next week, they're going to be stars and Christmas trees.
DD and little one are enjoying Butlins, she had been to see Santa yesterday and they'd watched a pantomime. DD is full of cold though, which is a shame.
Right I'd better get a move on.
Izzy hope you enjoy the lights.
Hope everyone has a good day x10
