Smart parking

Hi, on 29th September my husband arrived early to collect me from Lincoln train station and was waiting for about 13 minutes. I received a notice that I was getting a fine of £100 or £60 if I paid immediately. After seeing some posts -and not really understanding them if I’m honest- I decided to not pay it believing it was not enforceable. This week I received a follow-up saying I had to now choose and pay £170 or face legal action. Can someone explain to me in basic terms what I need to do to avoid paying it.

You ignore Debt letters thats what you do. You don't pay . That's how you avoid paying it
Shame you didn't read properly as you would have seen it was an easy win2 -

No you ignore DRP. To late to appeal. You should have done that when you got the pcn

You've missed the appeal boat. Read the back page of your Notice "Contesting this Parking Charge Notice" it states within 28 days of this notice being issued.1
