Interim distribution of estate

I am one of two executors of my late husband’s estate. I am one of three beneficiaries. I have already made one interim distribution to all three and am now ready to make another, leaving just a small amount in the account until everything is finalised. (There is no property to sell.)
One of the beneficiaries is on benefits. I have made sure they are aware that they will need to inform DWP, as the next amount, although not life-changing, will reduce, but not stop, their benefits. I have offered to stagger their payments so they can manage their money better, but they have not got back to me. I don’t want to do anything illegal or unfair, so I am inclined to send them what is due. Does that seem fair?
