Casio watches... new straps

We're great fans of a certain model of Casio watches but we're now through four of those watches (the W-211). The battery lasts forever (or at least more than 5 years)... but the straps break after 18 to 24 months. Reliably, on all four models. Why can't they create a strap that actually works for at least as long as the battery does? This seems to be widespread problem, not only for that specific model
So... I'm looking into buying (no, not another watch  ) but new sets of straps! There are a few offers for this type on eBay but they're all so expensive?! (It's almost cheaper to wait for an Argos offer and buy a new watch!)
Anyone afflicted by the same but has found a good solution? Thanks!

Straps are £7-£15 https://www.watch.co.uk/watch-straps/casio/ for genuine, you can get them for under £5 if you're happy with third party.

If you arent happy with the durability of the resin strap you can always replace it with another material. Leather straps on my two daily watches are 15 years old or so.

Thanks for the link! I admit I've just eBay'ed, probably I should've googled!
The idea with another material, leather sounds great!, is in fact a v good one... just will have to find sth that definitely works for that type of watch.

Do you have the full model number?

Almost all watches use the same spring pins and lugs and it's just a case of knowing the width. A few of the W211 have flared straps so the lug is 18mm but the strap widens to 22mm, if you want that same look it'll be harder off the shelf but a standard 18mm strap you'll have thousands of options.

Well, the back says just W-211 and the site you linked thinks I need a 21mm strap w/ a lug of 18mm. The Casio strap they show is OOS but we'll steer clear of that crap anyway and look for a nice leather strap  . Even if it's a little more expensive it'll hopefully pay for itself over the years.
Thanks for your help, really appreciated! : B)

So you'll need a 18mm strap unless you can find one that flares

Wow! I've gone through some of the stuff we should've thrown away but never did... and there's an old defunct watch with a leather strap that fits my W-211 perfectly! So one Casio is already up and running again  and the rest will follow!
I'm normally the one preaching to throw away all that useless old stuff but hubby thinks every cable and every wall charger has a right to live ("you never know...") and maybe he's right, after all :D .

Too late... he did the fiddling with the pins.
And anyway he thinks he's right WRT old stuff and I won't blow this idea  so all are happy.

Collecting some old classic Casio's and there are people sourcing and selling straps that taper and fit better than the generic
straight options.  Cannot remember the source due to watching quite a few watch restoration videos recently.

Another option maybe check cheaper no name brands of watches and compare the straps.  Spotted a watch for
sale and if you chose certain straps it gave you the generic one for free as well. I found that from a youtube video link
    on a watch channel.
