Morning all, looking fairly bright this morning but a lot more rain in the night. I swept the leaves up again from the front - no response yet from my email to the council.Ooh TA that sounds awful
, rest up and hope it eases soon.
Remmie, that art work sounds interesting.I think I've made enough Xmas cards now, wrote the insides last night watching Celeb so just the envelopes now. I've been trying to get ahead as I don't know how DH will be after his surgery tomorrow. The chest freezer is full now. We brought DGS back here after school as DS2 was only working round the corner. He never stopped eating! Growing lad. He also wanted an ice lolly, which were at the bottom of the chest freezer, at least I refreshed my memory as to what was in itWe will have to wing it re picking him up for the next few weeks, but DS1 has got his car back so will help out too.
I want to get a big bag of spuds to prep and freeze roasties for Xmas. I did a trial batch and they were fine, I used to do it years ago after seeing a thread on OSbut fell out of the habit.
Hope you have a good day!:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)11 -
@YorksLass could you use your bus pass as photographic ID. I don't have a passport or driving licence but I used when I applied for something.10

Morning all, my it's freezing here, never mind it's sunny and dry. Yesterday I got the cooker top cleaned then went on to tackle the worktops and the wall tiles behind them, I don't know how they get so grubby.
Today we're going to check the caravan the call in the garage to get a date for our car MOT. Such an exciting day lies ahead ! Later I'll check my cupboards and do stocktake ready to do a shopping list. I'm looking forward to the GBBO final too.
TA sorry you had an awful day at the dentists, hope the pain subsides asap.
Yorkslass I've just started watching the Brokenwood Mysteries series, series 1 ep1, the lead detective reminds me of Michael Ball for some reason 😂
Gers are you ok today ?
Sorry my minds gone blank as to what anyone else said.
Take care all. Hugs to anyone in need.

@Auntycaz - I wondered that too but, after a quick phone call, I was told one document (eg utility bill) with my name and address and something like a letter from the DWP would suffice. I'll have a walk to our local stationers to have them scanned and emailed back to me - at least then I'll have electronic copies should I need them again.
@nannywindow - Mmm, I suppose at a glance he does have a slight resemblance - I think it's the hair.Be kind to others and to yourself too.9 -
Hi everyone,
It's my usual Esther day but Esben is off with tonsillitis so I have him this morning. Yesterday I was looking after Nate but he wasn't well at all so I persuaded Crystal to call the Dr who luckily fitted him in, he was quite concerned about him and made another appointment to see him later this week, he has a chest infection.
I also had to take Steve for an appointment to have the membrane removed from the lens in his eye. He's coming back by bus because we didn't want to drag the children out again.
TA, that sounds horrendous, I don't blame you for saying enough is enough.
Happy birthday to your ds Scarlet.
Have a good day.

Afternoon all - it's a very chilly though glorious day. No rain, no wind and hardly any clouds. The sea and the canal are mirror like. I had an appointment for my nails earlier, a soak off, and then had a quick swerve into town.Yesterday I phoned the council about a set of roadworks with a three way control but no work happening over the past week. I got a lovely chap who explained that it was because of a problem with a BT box collapsing and it was up to Openreach to do the repair. He was very sympathetic and explained that he was pressing them hard to do the work. Think I'll complain to Openreach, it's annoying enough to have roadworks but when nothing is being done then it's worse.@TA - what a horrible time, hope that your mouth heals soon.Take care all.12

Good evening, a late one from me.
Up early to take my car for a service and MOT. Car passed, all good for another year hopefully, DHs car also serviced and had MOT yesterday. Expensive time of year, but at least we have all year to save for it.
Other than that nothing else to report. Dgd has returned to school so I hope all is going well there. Easy sausage and mash for tea tonight.
Have a good evening all x5
