Good morning all, seems fine outside.
Well, 53 years ago today at this time I was in labour with my eldest, yes, he's 53 today.
No labouring being done today thank heavens, just household stuff and I need to go to the shops.
Met up with a friend yesterday for a good chat, then came home.
TA Hope your dental appt went well and you're not in too much pain.
Hope everyone else is ok, take care folks.

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. A pleasant but nippy day ahead for us = allegedly anyway!
Without going into graphic detail I can only describe yesterday's dental appointment as Hell. I had two dentists in at one point trying to remove the problematic tooth, both digging and pulling to no avail. Amidst much blood I had to have stitches in the gum. Apparently the root has grown into bone in my lower jaw (or something like that!). She suggested a referral to the dental hospital to remove it but I said no, enough is enough, just leave it where it is and I will take my chances with it. I was in a lot of discomfort for the rest of the day and expected a sleepless night but, surprisingly, with the help of pain relief, I did sleep and it feels so much easier this morning. Nevertheless it will be a "baby food" day as instructed. Next appointment has been delayed until 11th Dec to give my mouth time to heal.
I think I deserve a day of sloth (any excuse!) after my ordeal and apart from some washing, which will go on the airer, I am not planning on doing much else. There's always tomorrow!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all in need. Take care all xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"12 -
Morning allOoooh TA that sounds awful. I can remember 2 diferent dentists having to try and get one of my teeth out once but, luckily for me, they managed it. Hope the painkillers do the job today for you. Funnily enough I was thinking about you and your appointment yesterday as I was making the bacon and lentil soup from the recipe you gave me.Popping to a retail park today to see if I can get any ideas for Christmas pressies. It's looking like money seems to be the thing for my 2 DSs as they are both saving up to buy something spepcifc that they want. DH is always a difficult customer every year as to what to get him.Apart from that nothing exciting going on here.Have a good day all x11

TA, sorry to see that your dental appt was so awful, it sounds terrible.
Hope you soon feel better.
I've just put some washing in, don't think it'll dry outside though. I'll just have to drape it over the airer, though some can go in the dryer.10 -
Morning all and thanks for the start @ScarletRibbons, happy birthday to your DS.
I had an early start yesterday as had a well woman check booked at my GP. Booked it weeks ago before we knew we were moving. All good, and dropped the work laptop off afterwards. Came home and spent the afternoon clearing up the garden after storm Bert. Today we will tackle the garage!!
The dental appointment sounds horrendous @TravellingAbuela look after yourself today xx
Enjoy Paddington @RedRuby1231 x
Have a good day all

Morning everyone
TA that sounds awful! I've had many bad experiences at the dentist so you have my sympathy - put your feet up today x
DD and little one arrived safely at Butlins yesterday afternoon - they have a list of activities planned for today.
I'll go down the hill a bit earlier today as I have a bag of things that were left here when DD picked little one up on Sunday, she also requested that I tidied her book case up! So I'll do that then walk round to work, they're 2 minutes away from the school.
Redruby - DD and little one really enjoyed the new Paddington when they saw it.
Right, I need to get on
Hope everyone has a good day today x10 -
Morning all. Blue sky, no clouds but a very chilly start here today. Yesterday started the same way but, within less than 15 minutes of posting on here, the rain was coming down horizontally - I'm sure that wasn't in the forecast - and continued on and off like that for the best part of the day.
How annoying about the boots @IzzyBee.
@TA - What an awful experience you had at the dentist, I really hope your next appointment isn't as bad.
Snag tights arrived yesterday - delivered by a rather glum looking Emmanuel instead of the usual lovely smiling Georgiou - and I'm looking forward to trying them. I'm going to make some drawstring bags to keep them in that will use some fabric from my stash. It seems I can't resist making work for myself!
I changed the duvet cover (cue much huffing and puffing to get the clean one on) and pillow cases, got them washed and on the airer. Then I started on the bathroom and managed half of it so I have the other half to tackle today. Some random bits of body wash and shampoo in travel size bottles have been decanted into a bottle of hand-wash in the kitchen - a bit more clutter gone.
I also need to call Co-op Legal Services as I've asked them to return DH's original Will; I've provided them with a copy of the DC and now they're asking for proof of ID for myself. The address bit is fine but I don't have photographic ID - surely I'm not the only person who doesn't have a passport or driving licence? Whilst I appreciate their due diligence, if I'd known it would be so much hassle I would have kept the originals myself instead of letting them have them for safekeeping.
Last night I did some knitting while watching the last episode of Brokenwood Mysteries - I think it's New Zealand's equivalent of Midsummer Murders - and missed the last 15 minutes or so as I nodded off. I wasn't bored, just tired. Never mind, no doubt it will be repeated at some stage.
I've defrosted some chicken stock and will be using that tonight for a risotto for my tea. Must remember I'm cooking for one and not use too much rice!
Right, off to tackle the Co-op. Hugs where needed/wanted. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.11
