Countrywide Parking Management - did they take to long to send PCN

Hi, I’ve seen conflicting information as to time limits on the issuing of PCN’s. I received a notice that had an issue date of 16 days from the contravention date. Nothing was left on my windscreen at the time. Can I make an appeal?

Many thanks

    Hello and welcome.

Following a parking incident, the DVLA allows a parking company up to six months to get vehicle keeper details from them.
The parking company's trade association allows their member another month to get a Notice to Keeper to the vehicle's keeper.

So no, they haven't left it too late.
However, they may have left it too late to be able to transfer any driver's liability to the vehicle's keeper.

To answer your question... yes you can make an appeal.
Perhaps let the opening post on the NEWBIES thread guide with that.

Yes you can appeal ( you can appeal any private PCN. )

Parking companies have 6 months to obtain keeper details and one month to get the PCN to the keeper ( yours falls into that category )

So they can't hold the keeper liable don't give away the driver's details, and read the newbies thread.

Why would you bother with their joke appeal? It's an IPC firm isn't it?  There is zero confidence in the farce of 'appeals' with IPC firms.

I'd ignore them but obviously tell them if you move house.  You will never be paying this.

The NEWBIES thread tells you how to do the first stage appeal if you want to waste your time but I'd just ignore them as long as you don't move house within 6 years and not tell them.

That is all... if Plan A doesn't work.

You know what Plan A is from when you read NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST before you posted.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
