UC statemenbt error

Recently signed up to UC for the first time as became unemployed for first time in my life. Now back to work after 3 weeks unemployed, although self-employed working as a sole-trader.

Completed all details on UC portal, and when I recieved the statement is had my earnings as £977 for employment and £977 for self-employment. I have not recieved any SE earnings as yet, so I must have reported my final employed earnings as SE earnings.

This affected and reduced the first UC payment I recieved. I have informed UC of the error but as yet no response.

How will this be resolved, and is it likely I am owed any more in UC payments? If so, will this be added to next statement?

So you attended gateway intervention appointment at job centre to verify self employment and you then completed a self employment report income and expenses to do where you entered employed earnings in error?

To correct this error, you need universal credit case manager or job centre to add another report income and expenses to do, so you can correct your error.  Once you have completed a new to do with correct information, this would then lead to underpayment being calculated to pay to you.

    Suggest calling UC helpline 0800 328 5644.
