Group Nexus parking fine

Hi there I am after some help. I drove my husbands car and parked in Basildon Westgate multi storey carpark with my young son back in September (he incidentally had a broken arm and was in a cast). On returning to car park I paid but then realised once we had climbed 5 flights of stairs I had entered the incorrect reg. I drove down to the bottom so that my son wouldn't have to do the stairs again, paid again and entered my phone number for a second receipt (it didn't give me one). I received a parking fine in my husbands name and emailed in with my bank statement extract as well as the first text receipt I had been sent to prove I paid. I received a second copy of the fine but this time in my name. I emailed and explained the situation was exactly the same as my first appeal letter just in my name so please could they refer to that. I was immediately emailed back saying I had exceeded the parking time at the car park and have 14 days to pay.

The surface car park (where I parked for literally 2 mins to pay for a 2nd time) is a 2 hour limit and the multi storey is 4. I was there 3 hours and 43 mins so have done nothing wrong but the email said they would take no more correspondence regarding appeals......any help appreciated!

Seems your thread was missed yesterday!

Did they not give you a POPLA Code in the rejection letter?  It's a shame you appealed as driver (wrong move).
