Morning all. It's bright and sunny here, still mild, but with a sharp breeze. Pity I don't have any washing to hang out as it would be a good drying day but there's not enough in the basket yet to make up a load.
Yesterday was a quiet day and I didn't really do very much other than watching some TV, knitting and finishing the book I was reading. That's ready to be returned some time this week but I've plenty of others waiting in the reading pile. I did have a good trawl through my Inbox though and deleted quite a few old emails that I don't need any more. No doubt there'll be more to come in the run up Xmas from the likes of Hotter, M&S (who seem to be sending at least one every day, if not two) etc.
I enjoyed my chicken dinner and cooked double the amount of mash and veg so I can heat that up for today to have with sausages instead of the chicken. Some onion gravy wouldn't go amiss though!
Plans for today are fluid depending on how I feel, although the bathroom could do with a good clean so maybe I'll tackle that. On the other hand .....We'll see.
Mr Postie has just been and there's a letter from DH's bank confirming they've frozen his account. They need me to send them the original or a certified copy of the death certificate that I can do electronically or in branch. I'll do the former as it's quicker and I don't really fancy traipsing into town with it.
Good luck at the dentist today @TA.
Glad to hear yesterday's craft fair went better than Saturday @AA.
Pity about the gazebo @-taff.
Right, must get on before the urge to do something disappears! Enjoy your day and take care. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.11 -
Morning all, it's sunny but windy still. There'll be a lot of cleaning up to be done today after the storm as there were lots of places flooded. My garden is full of fallen leaves but I think I'd be wasting my time cleaning those up as they are still falling.
Yesterday I did a load of washing so hopefully it's dry this morning, I'll put it away if it is. I need to clean the cooker top today and then potter about. I found 2 pairs of shoes in the organiser in the bottom of the wardrobe that I'm dithering about, I haven't worn them for ages (as in years), so maybe they can go to the cs, decisions, decisions.
TA good luck for today at the dentists.
Gers enjoy your class. Do some extra exercise for me please. Btw we all feel invisible at times.
AA glad to see that yesterday was better for you. DD had both her days cancelled.
taff shame about the gazebo. Hope you're feeling better.
Right the cooker awaits my attention.
Take care all, stay safe

Morning everyone just I’ve been awake since two and believe it or not I was late meeting my friend I wrapped and posted 4 parcels after dithering about at the lockers a girl was getting a parcel so I got her empty one and I managed with 3 small slots after that can’t believe I got them all posted before that I got a load of washing in and hung out and both doormats washed and hung out I’ve been and put a bag of stuff in the charity shop and a prescription for hubby in at the doctors. I’m really annoyed with myself I decided yesterday to sort some boots out I’ve never worn and list them on Vinted but they have been in the cupboard that long with the price tags still on the leather had started to peel of and deteriorate what a waste I was furious these were the boots I was saving for when I lost weight and going to wear a nice dress with it’s never going to happen so they ended up in the bin nothing else is getting saved rant over . DP1 I hope the little one has a great time at Butlins and fingers crossed nothing goes wrong she’s a funny one she certainly keeps you entertained. Taff I’m pleased the date night was good shame about the gazebo stay safe Gers enjoy your excercise class I feel invisible most of the time . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing9

Hi everyone,
It was another busy weekend here. We had Brian's family down so lunch for Esther's birthday on Sunday and then yesterday I made a big roast dinner with a beautiful porchetta from the farm shop.
Crystal and Nate didn't make the lunch because he's not very well. I came over to look after him while Crystal did some work. She's very busy at the moment with a court case coming up in a couple of weeks ( she's a tax solicitor). Unfortunately Esben woke with a high temperature this morning so he's off school. It will give Brian a taste of the juggling they will have to do when they move out. Laura has clients to see so it's up to him to sort things out.
Have a good day.9 -
Hello everyone from Mehefinland.
Got a brain fog atm but the nags are ok (thanks for asking ) , although they were not too keen to go out yesterday as the weather was atrocious. So much so that I kept them in until1030ish to miss the downpour. The 2 biggys are rugged so they were ok later, Little Fairy is a hardy sort and doesn't need one, although she was doing a good impression of a drowned rat when I brought them in later. It was the village light switch on in the afternoon, but it had cleared up a little by then. Jazz band parade and a live reindeer and its young on display too. Considering the weather there was a good turn out.
Got the backlady for Showman this afternoon - he does seem to be improving . Covid jab tomorrow at 1740 in the local minor thing horsepital. It's all go lol.
Sorry for those poor souls who have been flooded out (again in some cases). I can not imagine how it must be.
Think we missed the worst of the wind here, which is unusual as it normally blasts in off the Bristol Channel with gusto. Few bits of trees down but generally not too bad.
Hugs and spoons as always

Afternoon all, been missing due to DGS birthday, football, getting DH stuff ready for his hospital stay on Wednesday etc.etc.Dp1 that made me chuckle.I got a message from NDNeighbour on Sat. afternoon when we were at the match, torrential rain coming down the road off the park & it soon became apparent the drainage thingies in front of the houses were blocked and water was getting high, so I've sent an email to the council to complain. What's the point in doing all that work after the flood we had in 2015 & not do a quick check now and again
He got on to them too, still waiting for a reply! I had a good hour yesterday morning with my rubber gloves on, and managed to get a bit flowing down. I think it was the combo of frozen snow, a quick thaw and bad rain. Izzy hope DHs knees are ok-, I nearly slipped outside the house on Sat morning, and again on a muddy patch of grass. Hope you're better soon RR. Glad you had a better day yesterday Allie.TA hope your mouth is ok and the dentist wasn't as bad as you feared. Taff glad date night was a success.
Right better go and pick the laddo up from school.Take care all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)9 -
@remmie - so she doesn't get carried away, maybe you can suggest DD see how many good presents she can find for under a pound each. We did that one year and limited to under 10 dollars (as ours were a dollar each). Gave a lot of presents to wrap and unwrap.5

Weenancy, she would love that challenge. I would probably get a hundred or more presents 😀4
