Just a bit of other options, please.
I currently have the account in the title of this post with just a tad over 1k in it. It's due to mature in early January. Do you think it worth adding another 1k before it ends?
It's NLA I think too.

Who are PBS and what's the interest rate? Even if the account still allows deposits, it's unlikely to be worth putting more money in unless the account beats current best buy 5+% accounts by some margin, but there are only a few weeks left until early January so any benefits would be marginal at best....1

I won't bother then even if l can deposit into the account.

Just to check, will you be putting that extra £1K somewhere that'll earn a better rate than 4.5%?Bob2000 said:

I'm currently looking at another PBS account 4.8% variable or maybe Coop bank at 4.6 also variable. The main reason is that l already have accounts with both providers.eskbanker said:

I have a PBS variable rate account and the rate is going down on 5 December. Not sure about the Co-op.1
