I managed to get John Lewis Nottingham to price match a Panasonic 26 incTV to Empire Direct Derby so I got it for £430 instead of their listed £599 with 5 year warranty.
Just have a problem though - I've got it home and unpacked it, tuned it in then noticed quite a large hole in the plastic on the side (about 6'' long). I've tried to ring them to report it but they are shut now. Will have to phone tomorrow (if they're open) and see what they can do.
I made a special trip in to collect today. Is it reasonable to tell them I want a replacement delivered out ?
Thanks in advance for any advice. Happy New Year.

Thanks Julie.
I've e-mailed them so I'll see what happens when they open again. Perhaps I got the dodgy one because I had haggled em down.
Nice telly except for the hole !!
Will post when I've spoken to them....enjoy your New Year0 -
No reason why they wont of you ask. We had a lamp replaced without going back to the store (Southampton branch). You never know until you ask, and JL stores are normally quite helpful at sorting out problems.0

E-mailed John Lewis and they phoned back. They're going to deliver out a replacement next week so all seems ok.0
