Using images on MSE

Is it possible and wise to post an image to say Dropbox or similar and then to link to a question posted on MSE forum?

I think it's easier to use the 'choose file' option, and upload an image from your computer.
If you are using windows, there's an option to remove personal information that's stored in metadata. I'm not sure how much of that is left, in any case, by the time the image has been uploaded to MSE and then displayed? Here's an example for the whizz-kids to work on.

You're probably better off posting the image directly, as often times links such as those would get reported.0

Screenshots (at least on MacOS) and pasting into the text box works too so you don't need to crop.0
