HMRC tax letter

Hi
Has anyone received their tax calculation for 23-24? I normally receive this by October to pay savings interest tax.
I am wondering if the calculations are delayed?

They are delayed.  A few people have posted about it and if you read the message on your Personal Tax Account the wording has been changed slightly in the last few weeks.

Thanks. Mine hasn’t. The wording looks the same since August. Checked a few times.

I didn't think it said this earlier in the year?

HMRC is still collecting information and your Income Tax for 6 April 2023 to 5 April 2024 will be calculated soon. Your Income Tax will be updated when that happens.

Got mine earlier this week - they owed me £700, already banked.

Can you request a P800 by post, or at least a PDF?
The online version seems to contain less information.

You can but if you are signed up for online correspondence I would think you wouldn't see anything different.  Unless you specifically asked for a separate calculation.

I still haven't got my simple assessment.  Am I right that they can only ask for payment within 3 months of the letter even though it is normally 31st January.  

I tried the government gateway which seems to have left me in a catch22 situation.  It seems I used to have one so can't open a new one but when I dug out the info for the old one & tried it said it had been deleted because I haven't used it.

Yes.  The letter I got on Saturday gave me till 20 February 2025 to pay.
