U streaming app went missing from my TV

I have a modern Samsung smart tv where streaming apps, including u - formerly uktv - were working.  I had to reset the TV and Smarthub in order to try to fix an unrelated glitch.  After the reset all the apps were there and I reactivated them, except for u.

Has anybody else had this ?

If you diid a factory reset then the original versions of the apps will have been reinstalled from the embedded firmware.
Can you see the UKTV Play app?
That is the former name of U.

You may have to wait a few days for your TV to update the app, at which point UKTV Play will be replaced by U. I can't recall whether opening the old app after U was launched triggered the update on my smart TV.

Thanks.  It hasn't come back.  Also u had replaced uktv and was working before the reset.
