Hi, after some help/advice, I got emailed an offer around 3 months ago from vouchercloud for a free £120 gift card with breakdown cover over £151. I completed the purchase there and then and was sent the emails confirming my purchase had been activated and then tracked. After waiting for 2 months I was then shocked to logon to their website to find out the purchase had been declined for a gift card due to the purchase 'not meeting the minimum threshold'. At this point I complained and after 2 weeks I have received a different response/excuse which was 'I have consulted with our team regarding your rewards status and have been informed that the policy for this purchase has been attributed to another marketing channel. Unfortunately, this means that the purchase is not eligible for the reward.' Of course, I plan on taking this further but I do hope Vouchercloud see this and help me reach the correct conclusion. Their disputes part of their website is so out of date they recommend contacting the EU to resolve a dispute which is now not possible.

It sounds as if they are saying there was a payment for you taking out the policy but it went to someone else.

Annoyingly my AA cashback was declined for this reason with Quidco, I deleted cookies and used a private browser to purchase but had been looking around before, maybe they go off all the details you enter for a quote from the place you first came from rather than a straightforward affiliate link for these kinds of policies?

PS I don't think Vouchercloud will see this thread :)

I would have thought using privacy isn't good when you want a site to actually track you.
I use Safe Mode as that disables any add ons that can include ad & cookie blockers .

I keep a separate browser that is always updated and no addons at all for those websites you want to be sure
