In praise of Octopus for trying sooooo hard to get my SM2 to work at comms with them. Much quodus to Octopus.
This has been ongoing since around Nov 2019 when Co-op Elec was taken over by Octopus and my SM2 stopped communicating other than intermitantly and stopped altogether for the last 6 months (Mar- now 2024).
They have changed the hub, added an ariel, today actually changed the Elec and Gas to one of their SM2s BUT even with all this effort I am not hopeful. Black cement, weak mobile signal, and solid cavity filled walls!
Even the mini does not seem to be getting through.......
So probably end of the road
Have others experienced this problem with SM2 Comms?
(I am NOT confusing SM2 with the dreaded usually non functioning IHD - In House Display)

Yes others will have the same issue inside RF screened dwellings, whether via mobile networks in South or Arqiva's UHF network in the North.
You cannae beat the Laws of Physics, Jim!
Which comms hub have they fitted and what antenna for the mobile phone data? Is there any chance the antenna could be relocated to help with comms?
https://www.smartme.co.uk/smets-2.html#comms-hubs shows the possible 'next steps', including an external antenna. But then 2G hubs will be replaced with 4G hubs at some stage so WAN coverage may change anyway?0
