I'm trying to call Coop on 0345 721 2212 which is their published customer service number but for the past 1/2 hour I just get an engaged tone. Is this normal for coop? I'm used to being held in a queue if busy with most organisations, not getting an engaged tone.

Suspect they may have a technical issue with their telephone system.1

Thanks both. I thought it was strange to get an engaged tone. Never checked the status page because I'm not actually a customer yet, I wanted to check something before applying.Anyway, got through 10 mins ago so all is up and running OK now.0

Status page for basically all financial institutions is freely available, always worth checking before ringing them or posting online1spiral said:Thanks both. People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
