I bought a bundle of baby clothes from eBay a few weeks ago. I wasn’t happy and messaged the seller who would not accept them as a return.  I raised a dispute with eBay who refunded my money.  I don’t think I should have had my money back, I just wanted to return them.  So I was shocked at how easily eBay gave me a refund.  I did also return them at my own expense I would add.   But I could easily have been a scammer.
Just concerned that this could happen to me.

Isn't the moral of the tale that sellers should engage and deal with problems rather than dismissing them?  They could have sent a postage label if the clothes were not as described or agreed to you returning them at your own cost if it was a change of mind.  It is the seller's fault that they ended up being reliant on the buyer's goodwill.
Well done for doing the right thing!

  • I had not changed my mind.  The clothes were in a much poorer condition than the description.  I was just shocked at how eBay just believed me.  No questions.

The insurance valuations are about £1.5k. This is expensive to me.
I know I would get 10% at auction.
They are not branded and old. But they are very wearable today.
They might not be branded but are they hallmarked ? otherwise you are just selling costume rings and regardless of insurance valuation they won’t appeal to many.
