The first point that I would say was cooking is #4 You're just not heating up something that has been made by somebody else, but actively creating something.
I do a mixture of numbers 4&5 - but my OH pretty much just does #5...........but he's a chefI'm a little angelBUT A WHOLE LOTTA DEVIL

Agreed.
4 & 5 are actual cooking.
I occasionally use a bought Korma sauce if I can't be bothered to make one for a chicken dish, but I would never buy a shop pasta sauce. As previously posted, you can make better and much healthier ones by opening a can or 2 of tomatoes and adding ingredients while simmering it gently. Or try Creme Fraiche warmed with something like fried onions & garlic plus chopped (cooked) bacon added.... Mmmmmmmm.
People should take time to read the ingredient labels on the pre-packed foods.....and recoil in horror . Then they might figure out that making it themselves is fairly easy and a whole lot more healthy!0 -
I have to say that I do like cooking from scratch. However, having just moved into a house with no gas supply, no cooker or hob and just my trusty microwave, George Foreman grill and slow cooker to use, I have moved the goal posts (well I am a woman after all) and am now of the same opinion as Edinburghlass:Home cooking for me is putting the meal on a plateTrust me - I'm a scientist!!!
Mortgage - too big to comprehend!
