I pay council Non Domestic Rates and parking fees to park in an area not far from work. My daughter borrowed my car to take her children into town while I was on holiday, she knew I had a parking space there and decided to park in my spot unaware she should display my parking ticket.
So i recieved the fine a couple of weeks after I came back from holiday. Should I be liable for this cost as in total I pay £600 per year to park there? I have appealled but they say it must be paid.
