Welsh Government Leasing Scheme for rentals.

I saw this pop up as an Ad and I had to look into it. The irony isn't lost on me that the anti landlord policies force many to sell up and now the same government is trying to encourage said landlords to help top up their lack of social housing.

This aside I'm not sure how great this scheme is. You get rent at the LHA and lease your house for 5-20 years. LHA can be quite a few hundred below actual rents, the maintenance that is required is paid by the landlord but dictated by the council and if you have a BTL mortgage I am quite sure you wouldn't be allowed to sign up to the scheme, if for some reason you wanted to.
