Brrrr. It's chilly.

Morning all. At five a.m. the temperature was -5° it's now risen to 0° with not much improvement in the forecast. 

The blizzard yesterday lasted five minutes, stopped then all the snow melted away. From a whiteout to a sunny afternoon in a few minutes was weird. My new sofa bed arrived early which meant that I was able to get on with the day. The two men did well to get it upstairs and round the corner. I need to rearrange things around it a bit though need to have some help with that I think. 

Later on the postie brought me new ankle boots and new shoes which I splurged on. H***er had two offers in the Sunday papers bringing them both down to almost half price. After unwrapping everything I cut up the boxes and took everything to the tip, getting home just as the blizzard started. Then I sat by the lit wood burner for the rest of the afternoon.  

This morning I'm going to the hydromobility session at the pool, just have to factor in car defrosting time.  Before I go I'll prep the veggies for my lunch, the casserole is already portioned. 

I hope that all goes well today @YorksLass. Keep warm everyone, poorlies please rest up.

Morning folks and thanks GERS.  Minus 5 at 6 a.m. How much colder is it going to get! We had blue sky and sun most of the day yesterday but still have the lying snow at the front where the sun doesn't reach.

I should do a bit of an early Friday Tidy this morning as I shall be out tomorrow. but I am making no promises on that! I changed my bed yesterday but the bedding had to be festooned around the upstairs to dry. Pegging outdoors in freezing temps isn't my idea of fun.

Morning all

Colder here today according to the weather forecast but there's no frost on the cars this morning unlike yesterday, but, still definitely colder!

Have been looking to getting a new vacuum cleaner and saw the one I wanted on their website yesterday and thought I'll hold out until today when they do their Black Friday deals (yes, I know it's Thursday!) so took a look this morning and it's gone back to it's original price as it's not been put in today's deals, which is twice what it was yesterday grrrrrrrrr

A tidy round, ironing and a root round in the freezer to see what I can put together for dinner tonight.

Morning all

Brrr very cold and frosty here but we are to have sleety rain later - something to look forward too 🙄. 

I am off to collect Rob this morning and take him to work yesterday we went and visit my mum and he was very proud to give her some flowers that I bought for her Birthday and he wanted to open her present as well he thinks that any wrapped gift is for him 😂

Dinner tonight will be a halloumi and tomato sauce pasta I made a roasted tomato soup a while ago and this is the last of it so I thought I would make some kind of pasta dish to use it up I will put some extra garlic in and a pinch of chilli to warm us through.

DD on a late shift again poor thing although it does mean she will get a lay in this morning. 

I will put a wash on before work and hang it on the airer once I am back.

Good morning
Bright and cold again here.   I attempted to clear the snow from the drive yesterday however failed due to the tyre tracks of vehicles that had been up and down - they had iced over and it was impossible.   I always forget this happens and it’s best to get it cleared before it gets driven over! 

DDad has physio so will slide him out to the car 🫣 aka hang on to him for dear life.  There’ll be no snow where we’re going so it’s just a matter of getting him the few steps to the car. 

No idea the plans for the rest of the day.

Morning everyone freezing here Taff I hope the blood tests go alright Yorkslass hope Al, goes smoothly today Silver Oldie enjoy your walk and talk wrap up warm . I’ve got a cleaning job to go to I will be pleased when I was back I’m ready to hibernate. I’ve got lamb spirals out of the butchers they are strips of puff pastry with mince lamb think of a Swiss roll and when you put them in the oven the pastry puffs up and the lamb cooks supposed to be lovely I will give them a try . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing

Morning! The free range cooker was brought round yesterday, so OH is on for cleaning it this afternoon. I just have to find some new decals for it and it'll look brand new. ABout six years ago I saw a bread caddy on fb, bought it, it's vintage, very atomic in shape, like a little spaceship with a magnetic catch and it's black. I only realised the other day the reason I swapped all appliaces to black was probably to unconsciously match that...weird though...Today I'm out shopping for various things, sofa cleaner thingy, radiator pipe covers, cat crack, all the weird things I have ot go to several different shops for so the fire will be lit much later. And I'm making a start on rationalising getting rid of some of the carp that has managed ot creep in. And chopping some kindling, still can't find my original hatchet.

Izzy, your rolls sound nice, I'm off lamb but I have mince beef, might try them next week..I did a colcannon mash on a cottage pie last night, three stars, recommend! And cuts down cooking one extra veg, I just did carrots with it. Yorks Lass, hope it goes smoothly today. Gers, you have some very accomodating delivery drivers I can abrely get some of mine to make it to the front door sometimes. Except the evri guy, he is great. Ruby, hapy birthday to your mum! That's very funny about Rob, glad he seems to be more regular again.. TA, hope your mouth is better today...Alie, stay steady you two today! Take care all, wrap up, don't move! Drink hot choloate [ great, now I want some hot chocolate ]

Good morning, it's cold here but dry.

I wasn't out yesterday, but I think  I'll go out today to our little high street, once I remember what's required and made a list.

Those lamb spirals sound nice Izzy, hope they were. One of the butchers here does unusual things in a similar fashion, think I'll look in his window today.

Just did a long post and promptly lost it. Long story short, big dog loves the snow, more than I do. Steak and kidney pie for dinner tonight.
