You should read threads over the entire forum.
How you can save money depends on where you spend - it is difficult to save on motoring costs if you don't have a car, for example.2 -

the day you get paid, put some money in a savings account, then it's gone already. Waiting to put the 'leftovers' in savings never works5

Understand where money goes. Martin Lewis Budget Planner is a great tool - https://www.moneysavingexpert.com/banking/budget-planning/
Do a review of what you do/don’t really need etc - subscriptions.
Check all your Direct Debits and Standing Orders are relevant.
Negotiate and switch…..Phone/TV/Energy/Insurance etc.
If you have debt, switch to a 0% Credit Card.
Park money in an Easy Access account paying the best rate and move piecemeal to Current Account to cover expenditure. If you have spare cash each month, look at Regular Saver accounts.
If you have savings, switch to the best rates available and move money where the best deals are continuously.
Look at Chase Bank 1% Cashback Spending Debut Card.
Use Cashback sites like Topcashback and Quidco.
Look at switching your Current Account for free cash incentives.
That’s a start!1 -

I think saving can become addictive. Once you start seeing your savings pot grow, that little buzz of satisfaction becomes a spur to continuing.
When I was young and saving up for travelling, I walked everywhere and put the money I’d saved from bus fares in a pot. Each time it was small change but watching it grow became utterly addictive and eventually I had enough to travel abroad with.1 -
If you bank via an app, set up the 'top up' function to pay into a savings pot. Every part of a £ you spend tops up so if you buy something that is £3.50 the app puts 50p in your savings pot and makes the charge on your current account up to £4.00. I save holiday money this way and get £300-400 a year without even noticing it's 'gone'2
