Asda ParkingEye PCN for overstaying

Hi All
Hoping you can help me in challenge a parking charge notice from parkingeye for accidentally overstaying at an Asda car park. We parked at our local Asda did our shopping and a walk to the retail park next to it. Not realising the time flying by we ended up staying in the car park for 3hrs27mins. A few days later the PCN arrived in the post, pay within 14day £60 or within 28days £100 as the max time is 3hrs. After talking to Asda I’ve found out that you can pay to stay longer than three hours and was told where the sign is about this on one side of the building, however there is no physical machine to make the payment and this is managed by Horizonparking. The parkingeye sign (if you squint and read the small print) does state “via the payment and/or terminals”. As there are no physical terminal to make this payment it this a case of incorrect signage and I’m not liable to pay the PCN.
Or is there any other way I can refuse to pay this unreasonable PCN charge for a contract that you don’t sign up for.
Thanks
Zapster
