Employer not paying my NI or Tax

Basically, I started with my employer a few years ago. Business of less than 10 employees.
Everything seemed okay for first few months, only to find I didn't exist on HMRC. I raised this, and then eventually started to appear on there going forward. I also discovered a colleague had been there several months before me and hadn't paid any NI or tax at all.
Since raising it, I've been on HMRC, until now. Checked and another month of no TAX or NI last month.
Boss is constantly blaming it on the accountant, like they did last time. But I'm finding it incredibly hard to believe that an accountant would mistake this, as its literally their bread and butter and isn't worth their job. I'm sure they would only have done this under the bosses instruction.
My belief is that is in fact my boss who deals with the PAYE, not the accountant. I'm constantly asking for payslips and always being fobbed off, which leads me even more towards the fact they do it themselves.
Is this possible? Am I being fiddled here? Any experience on this.
Thank you for reading guys

The only way to get a definitive answer is to contact HMRC directly. Everyone should be able to check their NI contributions via the HMRC website or app, you will need to register for a UTR (Unique Taxpayer Reference) and with that can access your entire taxpaying history.
You could possibly call HMRC with just your national insurance number, but if they have any data for you at all, they might insist on you getting a UTR anyway.
In relation to your situation. Sounds very iffy. I'm not sure what good lawyering up at this stage will be, but you should definitely contact the citizens advice bureau for advice on what to do if you are being taken for a mug.1 -
And personally I'd be brushing up my CV: HMRC are not the people a company want to be owing money to if they've been playing fast and loose for some time.
Scroll down close to the bottom of this page for advice on what to do if you are not receiving a payslip. You would definitely want to be looking for another job before heading down even raising a grievance, I feel, although banding together with your fellow employees to raise a collective grievance might concentrate minds. Or even all joining a union, and using their support!

Have you had a P60 for each of the years that you've worked there? I'd suspect not, even though there is a statutory requirement to provide it, so that'll be another massive sign that the business is not being run properly.
